Virginia Schools to Watch

The Virginia Schools to Watch Committee is proud to highlight schools that have been named as Virginia Schools to Watch.

Below are the Virginia Schools to Watch, their divisions, and the year of their original selection, and redesignations.  It is policy that each three years schools reapply and are visited to maintain their STW designation.  If some circumstance occurs where a school needs to defer for a year, that is possible.

Our experience tells us that many more Virginia schools should be on this list, but the process is self-nominating - the school staff must seek the honor. Congratulations to Loudoun County, which has all 15 of it eligible middle schools identified as STW.

The rigorous review process for written applications, and the exciting site visits, are made possible by the professional contributions of school staff members and school systems across the state. Those huge contributions are rewarding to those who participate, and certainly are rewarding to the schools selected as Schools to Watch. Thanks to all.

We are so proud of these schools and the staff members and students who work so well to have wonderful schools.

Further details are available at the Schools to Watch website.
